Description
This STEM Learning Experience is focused on the Geometry of flags of the world – it explores shapes, lines, symmetry and introduces fractions (halves, quarters and thirds) in an engaging and authentic way.
Following clear examples given on the slides, students will engage in two STEM challenges, opportunities to apply and enhance their learning in a hands-on way. Materials required are minimal and a comprehensive teacher’s guide will guide you through, providing questions to prompt student thinking and links to curriculum.
Suitable for children aged 5-9 years old, this learning experience connects with the Years 1 and 2 curriculum standards.
